7th Annual Cocktails for a Cause

Cocktails for a Cause is Dr. Rebecca Schoonover’s annual fundraiser supporting blindness research and the Scranton Blind Association. The proceeds from this year's event are being donated in honor of her late friend and colleague, Thom Mann, who was a husband, father, and eye care professional whose passion for helping people will be continued through the advancement of vision research.

The 7th annual affair was held on Saturday, October 22nd at Amici in Clarks Summit.  A $40 donation entitled guests to samplings from the area’s finest restaurants and open bar, including martinis direct from New York City, Miami and Boston.  There were live dynamic musical performances by Christian Gratz with special guest Ron Schoonover. Guests purchased chances to win lavish raffle baskets all to benefit the evening's worthy causes.

Thank you for supporting the visually impaired of our community while honoring the memory of a remarkable bright soul we have lost all too soon.

Thanks to your generosity and kindness, this year's event was a tremendous success.
